The Unremarkables is a conceptual publication that explores a combination of authentic and hyper-real place branding through examples of product design, experience design, architecture, and art in Japan and South Korea.

Produced after an international design trip the publication borrows some of the characteristics of the nations' branding observed in the design of the publication and its accompanying pieces. These elements help construct the experience of the reader interacting with this subjective and perhaps unremarkable recount of one person’s brief exploration of two countries.
